Go Red!


I had no idea that Friday was the 100th anniversary of the Red Line until I stumbled upon a Boston.com tribute article. And here are a few interesting factoids I picked up:

  1. The Red Line got its color/name as a nod to Harvard (you know, the whole Crimson thing)

  2. The Red Line has had the fewest accidents/derailments of any line on the T

  3. And not to brag, but Bradley Clarke, president of the Boston Street Railway Association, says the Red Line has always been the most cutting-edge line on the MBTA 🙂
